Dontá is passionate about eradicating the myths associated with the virus that are still prevalent in many areas and has purposed himself to enhance the HIV/AIDS education tactics within communities of color. Additionally, he is a featured columnist on topics surrounding HIV for "Be All You Can Be" and "Ask Deanna" magazines.

In 2004 he obtained his license in ministry within the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. His approach to sex, sexuality and sexual behaviors has opened the eyes of many and has been applauded by the church for his tactful approach to a very sensitive topic. His motto “HIV is a disease, not a sin” is something that he wants the church to remember when dealing with an issue that is far from over. Hosea 4:6 states “My people perish for a lack of knowledge…” and his goal is to instill as much knowledge as he can in regards to this life altering illness.

Whether in front of a large audience or small gathering, Dontá brings the same intensity and passion that has made him a well sought after speaker. His knowledgeable yet comedic delivery sets the listener at ease and makes discussions about sex, sexuality and sexual behavior more palatable for sensitive audiences.

Dontá has a desire to reach the world with his message and has positioned himself to do that by creating opportunities for dialogue that can be applied to ones daily life. He is a willing vessel wanting to be used in the full capacity of his purpose and won't stop until his assignment has been completed.
